Remember: A R T W I T H D E S I G N S
Wearable Latex Art must be cleaned and treated regularly. You paid good money
for the original work of art that you wear so proudly when you are out on the
town.
Not
only are you sporting original art but you are wearing a natural product that
should treated with due respect. The following suggestions for care will aid in
the preservation of your latex art collection.
Cleaning:Once you've made it home from
your evening excursion, you'll want to wash off the sweat and makeup that
collects on your beautiful latex art. Run the faucet until the water is nice and
hot (no soap), let it soak for about ten minutes. Then wipe clean with a cloth.
Shining:The longer you own your latex art
the more often you will want to shine it (some people prefer a mat finish
though), shinning it regularly will keep it shinny. After we soak our latex and
let it dry, we spray with ARMOR ALL or wipe Eros Bodyglide on it use a
silicone based shiner, then we just let it soak.
Precautions:Your latex art is not a toy,
as tempting as it may be to do so, avoid wowing your friends by stretching it.
Copper will stain latex, so don't wear copper and latex together. It is
possible that storing or wearing latex on leather will cause the latex to
deteriorate, so you should also avoid wearing your latex art with certain
leather goods you wear- they might clash anyway. It has been said that that
occurs with molded latex, although our latex not molded, this may not apply
here, but why chance it? Any light color latex, such as white or pink will stain
easily - Be careful!
Tears:If one of our pieces tears we will
replace it for free, provided of course that the broken piece is first returned
to us and you did in fact do your utmost to follow our care instructions. We do
not repair items, we only replace.
Storage:store your latex art flat and out
of sun light. Some people say to store latex in the dark but if you want to
leave it out so you can see your pretty art, that's cool, just so long as it
gets no direct sunlight. Also, it seems that air-conditioned air blowing
directly on latex is not a good idea. We suggest using a zip-loc bag or a
plastic container with a tight lid in which it will lay flat. These can be found
at container stores.
